Welcome to Oldfield Park Baptist Church.
Welcome to the website of Oldfield Park Baptist Church. We hope you find everything you're looking for here. If this is your first visit here you might like to know a bit about us.
We are an evangelical Baptist Church comprising of people drawn from various parts of Bath but predominatly from the Oldfield Park area, just to the South West of Bath City Centre. Our church buildings are located in The Triangle in Oldfield Park. This is where we meet on a Sunday and at other times during the week for various events and activities.
As a church, we believe we are made to know and enjoy a relationship with God our creator personally. We believe this has been made possible for us only through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son. For that reason Jesus is not just relevant but central to our lives. This is why we meet together regularly to worship him and encourage one another to follow him (i.e. to model our lives on his life). As we do that we are brought closer to God and to one another.
We also see ourselves as a family, which means two things. Firstly, we support and encourage one another in our daily lives as followers of Jesus and secondly, we desire to grow, like any healthy family, which, of course, means welcoming others in.
Whether you are a follower of Jesus yourself, or you're not sure, or you just want to know what that means you are welcome. You will discover more about what we have going on or how to find or contact us on this website.
We look forward to meeting you sometime!

Trailblazers meet every Sunday morning. They join with the adults for worship at 10.30am and then leave for their own group at 11am.
The session begins with an activity, preferably involving movement, to expound some energy, but related to the morning's theme. The children then split into two age groups for Bible teaching, sharing and discussion. The session ends with a craft, art or dramatic activity to express the theme.
As leaders, we strive to share the Gospel message with the children, and would appreciate your prayers that these young people will reach the point of accepting Jesus into their lives as their Lord and Saviour.

October 2011 Holiday Club |
|
During October half term we had lots of fun and games at the SHOWSTOPPERS holiday club. Based on Scripture Union's SHOWSTOPPERS holiday club material the week was full of games, crafts, drama, music and Bible stories, we learnt how God can use little people to do amazing things as we learn to trust him. On the final day invited parents along to hear our fab SHOWSTOPPERS song and to watch our "Red Carpet Award Ceremony"! If you want to find out more about childrens events and clubs at OPBCBath please explore the website or ring 01225 462737 for further details.

The Oldfield Park Baptist church Family Fun Day will include a puppet show at 3.30. We are lucky to have "The Motley Crew" who are an award winning team from Kendal Road in Gloucester.
It is made up of young people from the ages of 12 to 23 under the leadership of Richard Cooper and Mandy Haines. The mission of the team is to share the love of the Lord Jesus through this non threatening medium performing material which appeals to all ages. The puppets sing songs and perform sketches, many written by Mandy which cover topics ranging from bible stories to harvest services and Remembrance Day. They include a mixture of humour and the thought provoking, depending on the occasion.
The show is free and we look forward to seeing you there!
