NEW START TIME - 6.00pm
Story Keepers meet on Thursdays during term time between 6.00 and 7.00pm in the church hall.
All children aged 5-11 are welcome to join in.
We pack a busy hour programme with:
-
Great fun active games
-
A make-and-do fun session
-
A restful regenerating juice and snack break
-
Kids Bible story cartoon videos
-
Sing and dance about to new kids worship songs (using Dougie Dug Dug and his team)
Meet new friends, bring your friends from school, come and join the fun!
We want to share the love and friendship of Jesus with families and children in our community. We share stories from the bible to show children what our God is like, using Christian teaching resources. Our friendly, active environment appeals to children and we love meeting together, building new friendships across many of the local junior and infant schools. Our programme is always changing. There is a taster description of what we have been up to below.
If you want to come and join us you can email or ring Liz on 01225 334621 or just turn up on the day. We meet in the church hall during term times on a Thursday evening.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

We have been copying TV Art Attack’s idea, making our own BIG ART picture. We used fabric, junk cut offs and carpet tiles from the Scrapstore to make this beach picture. Can you see a couple of boats on the water, an ice capped mountain, a waterfall and a sunbather?
We had great fun making the picture detailed. When it was finished, we stood of the stage steps to get the best view. You have to stand well back to get the big picture. God has given us great imaginations to create new things out of old, and He has created an amazing world for us to marvel at and copy in our picture.
Story Keepers will now run from 6pm - 7pm every term time Thursday, we look forward to seeing you there.

Recently the Story Keepers celebrated the Christmas nativity by making a huge model of the stable scene. We videoed the telling of the story of Marriage, Journey to Bethlehem, Angels in the sky with Shepherds and a Star followed by three wise men to Celebrate the Birth of Jesus.

| Recently the Story Keepers did activities based on the five senses.
· We made smelly soap and did a smelly quiz to test our noses.
· We made model lighthouses and talked about Jesus, the light of the world, steering us away from danger.
· We made a GREAT BIG noise in the church with lots of different instruments, because God loves us to shout his praises LOUD! We shared the story of the noisy procession around Jericho.
· We used chocolate, marshmallow, and biscuit to make rather tasty Rocky Road. We talked about some moments in Peter’s life that were, rocky, squishy, and sticky moments – but that he kept his eyes on Jesus.
· We used our sense of touch to squish through fun squishy things with our feet. Great fun! The best of which was the blue spaghetti pasta and the bucket of porridge.

Recently the Story Keeper children explored the Armour of God. They made their own armour to really understand how God can help us day by day if we stick to his plans for us.
Can you find all six parts of the armour in the photos?
