Trailblazers

Trailblazers meet every Sunday morning.  They join with the adults for worship at 10.30am and then leave for their own group at 11am.

We have eight children at the moment, ranging from 4-10 years and we have a rota of eight adults who lead in pairs for a month each.  The material used is produced by "Go Teach Publications" and seeks to cover both Old and New Testiment teaching.

The session begins with an activity, preferably involving movement, to expound some energy, but related to the morning's theme.  The children then split into two age groups for Bible teaching, sharing and discussion.  The session ends with a craft, art or dramatic activity to express the theme.

As leaders, we strive to share the Gospel message with the children, and would appreciate your prayers that these young people will reach the point of accepting Jesus into their lives as their Lord and Saviour.

Phew, quite a trek

I'd like to thank all the people who sponsored me to climb Ben Nevis last month.  I'm pleased to say that FRANK water have written back to me, and they were very grateful.  Here's the video that my mum and I put together, showing the photos that we took.

FRANK Water funds sustainable clean water projects in developing countries across the World.  Its not to late to donate, please speak to Jasmine.

East Africa

Louis Bain is collecting money on behalf of "Save the Children" to help children of a similar age that attend Trailblazers that are currently without food, water and emergency healthcare because of one of the worst droughts in 60 years. Hundreds of thousands of children have fled Somalia due to the drought and conflict, parts of the country are now afflicted by famine.

The money will be donated to the "East Africa" appeal.  He will be collecting after the next few services.

Bless You

The Children's talky bit in the morning service was really gross.  We started with some tissues, calpol, paracetamol, lemsip and some cough syrup.  We talked about sneezing.  Did you know that when you sneeze there are some 19,000 droplets that come flying out of your noose to up to 2 metre!

Before you sneeze, there is some bad stuff inside you and after you sneeze it will be inside the tissue and in the bin [hopefully!]

But what about your mind? Sometimes you might watch something on TV, or see a picture or read a book or magazine that you shouldn’t be. And God can protect you from that!

Phillipians 4 v. 8 : In conclusion, my brothers, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely and honourable. Jasmine Hearn
